History & Mission

The Asian Society for Innovation and Policy

ASIP grew from early international conferences on innovation between Korean and Chinese academic societies in 2005 and 2006, then expanded into a wider annual forum with scholars from across Asia and beyond.

Today, ASIP supports policy discussion, research publication, and international conference collaboration through three connected activities: policy consulting, the Asian Journal of Innovation and Policy, and the ASIP conference network.

Supporting Policies

Policy consulting and dialogue that connect research insight with practical public and institutional needs.

Promoting Research

Academic exchange through the Asian Journal of Innovation and Policy and related scholarly activity.

Building Networks

International conferences that bring researchers, universities, industry, and government partners together.

The 5th ASIP Conference 2026 continues this role in Jakarta, hosted by Universitas Trisakti with Universitas Multimedia Nusantara, as a meeting point for academic research and policy-oriented collaboration.

Participants are invited to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and strengthen innovation capacity across ASEAN and the wider Asian region.
